Vets and vetnurses needed - Make a difference in Bosnia!
Together with NOA Denmark, Animal SOS is planning an ABC project in Banja Luka, Bosnia. Primarily we will be doing castrations and sterilizations in one of the shelters run by NOA Bosnia. At this shelter more than 150 straydogs are waiting for relocation in the local area, and prior to this they need neutering.
Another important issue of carrying out this project is related to the reluctance of the authorities to implement the necessary measures to ensure a decent attitude towards the big population of streetdogs that has grown increasingly since the civil war.
By supporting the local animal welfare organizations we can help enforcing the stress that is put upon the authorities to take action, and we can increase the public awareness of animal welfare, which is very needed.
